Make yourself at home on the shores of Lake Windermere, we have a 6,000 acre estate that is yours to explore. Freedom and fresh air is all part of the experience when you stay at Graythwaite Home Farm. We offer a range of individual self-catering holiday cottages. If your priority is convenience, the converted farmstead is ideal - with a children’s play area, table tennis room, swimming pool and fitness suite. Something more private? Secluded cottages and conversions within the estate’s grounds allow you to relax in style and take in the tranquil surroundings. Some are on Lake Windermere all have breath taking views.
 
Properties range in size from small cottages for two to large conversions sleeping ten. We pride our self on maintaining high standards, all premises have central heating, open fire or wood buring stove (Logs provided) and modern kitchen appliances as standard.
 
If you need more space for a wedding or a corporate event, we can accommodate large parties - we’ll even organise the catering for you.

In addition to the superior bed and breakfast accommodation, Low Graythwaite Hall has a detached, self-catering holiday cottage. Dairy Cottage, a former Lakeland farmhouse, has beautiful views over the Low Graythwaite Hall gardens and to the rear it looks out onto a working farm.

Holidaymakers staying at Dairy Cottage have the shared use of four acres of extensive grounds including large lawns, woodland and a pond, as well as the indoor heated swimming pool, fitness suite and free fishing in the well-stocked private tarn.

This delightful three bedroom cottage sleeps 5. Downstairs there is a lounge/diner with open fire, television with Sky, DVD, video, radio/cassette/CD and a modern fitted kitchen/diner with electric cooker, fridge, microwave and auto washer/dryer.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms - one double, one twin and a single bedroom with a 4 foot bed. There is also a family bathroom which has a bath with shower over, basin and wc.

High Dale Park Barn nestles in a small, peaceful valley, down a quiet lane within Grizedale Forest Park -
Lakeland's largest forest area. Woodland walks amongst the famous forest sculptures are literally seconds away.
High Dale Park is an excellent base for a walking or cycling holiday. Grizedale Forest provides many pupose built mountain bike trails from easy to advanced. The forest is full of gentle walks suitable for those who don't want to tackle high mountains such as Coniston Old Man (20 minutes drive) or Scafell Pike (30 minutes drive).  For a 2008 price list click website.

This superb cottage, which is on three floors, has been renovated retaining all its character and charm.
It is surprisingly spacious, tastefully furnished and well equipped making an excellent base for the central Lake District. You have use of extensive leisure and spa facilities at an exclusive local hotel.

Dating from 1608, Hacket Forge stands on the banks of the River Brathay, in the beautiful Little Langdale valley. It was originally a forge, and the Wordsworths were familiar with it, as was Beatrix Potter who bought land on the other side of the river. For many years the present owners have welcomed self-catering visitors, who enjoy the peaceful setting in which Hacket Forge looks down on the river's rush to Colwith Force.
